Minoi Family

French Riviera Groove EP (VA)

Minoi Music proudly presents a collection of tracks with a definitive summery touch, by old and new friends. Luca Morini, a prominent Italian producer who made a name for himself through years in the underground scene, provides us with a Deep and pumping house track to move the dance floors up this summer. His next release will be on Minoi Music this September. Marcelo Cura contributes to this “French Riviera Groove” with a deep track. He tapped on the traditional Balinese music (Gamelan) to provide us with a Deep track that would perfectly fit a night out. In Bali’s “Ku De Ta”, for example! After a remarked remix on our last release, up and coming Festina Lente from Italy delivers a Deep and melodic track. Keep an eye on this kid: he does have skills. His next release will also be on Minoi Music. Tekmao, a Colombian artist with a solid background as a drummer, presents a punchy track with jazzy accents. This is a teaser for its next EP, coming on Minoi Music next September. The “Minoi Familly” collectively signs this track off. Pumping bass, hip-hopish samples and, as usual, a fondness for old school FXs. Enjoy !

The IT EP

There’s more to Brazil than feathers and samba. This EP draws from the cozy dance floors of Leblon, Maresias or Buzios. Ideally, you should feel surrounded by lush vegetation and imagine that you¿re dancing on a wooden deck with slender, tanned creatures dressed in white.  You’re likely not there now but this EP will give you a feel for “It” nonetheless. Rulian Ross initiated this sunny fantasy for his third release on Minoi Music. A well-rounded, polished Deep house track; Clavs and drums softly take you on a tour. Minoi Family powers their version of the track with an old-school kick/hats combination and pushes the envelope of standard filters and effects. Finally, newcomer Festina Lente from Italy remixes The It with an extravaganza of synths and a defining lead trumpet.

Minoi Family

We at Minoï take pride in running a business fueled on creativity and relationships. When people passionate about music meet, they might spend some time on release schedules, planning collaborations and other business matters. However, they’re almost certain to discuss and make music together. Such jams usually bring forward new ideas that are then bounced to friends. Establishing paternity after an orgy was always complicated (and somewhat awkward) so, true to music, we decided to create “Minoï Family” to credit such works.
